For more than 75 years Austria was known for building state of the art pro audio devices. Products like the C12 or the C414 became industrial standards all over the world. In 2017 this history was threatened to come to an end as the headquarters of this famous company was shut down by the American owners.
A few employees decided to take a brave step and founded Austrian Audio to keep up this heritage. Now innovation is back in Vienna with great results like a unique ceramic capsule that provides new ways in microphone manufacturing as well as innovative ideas about workflows that lead to new possibilities in recording and post production never seen before. This workshop ist hosted by Jill Zimmermann (Alexisonfire) and Kurt Richter (Austrian Audio).
